Getting your head around the entire YABBA program takes a bit of time.

That’s why we’ve created a timeline and resources to make the whole process as easy as possible. Below, you’ll discover handy tips on when nominations are due, how to utilise the shortlist poster, and complete your internal school paperwork to get students to the Awards ceremony. Plus much, much more.

The Annual YABBA Timeline

There are four stages to the YABBA Awards, with one stage being held per term.

Organise your school’s participation by following the steps below and popping the important dates in your calendar!

Recommend

Recommend a
favourite book
(or as many as 4!)
you have recently read.

NOMINATIONS CLOSE 28TH MARCH, 2024

Read

Once the Shortlist is out,
read as many of the books as you can between April and September.

GET BUSY!

Rate

Start a process of
rating the books
so you can vote
before voting closes.

VOTING CLOSES
20TH SEPTEMBER, 2024

Reward

Reward your favourite
books with your vote!
Vote online here or
through your school.

AWARDS CEREMONY
22ND OCTOBER, 2024
